I was Stage 2+ (custom and revo) for over 2 years and the long term average was 27mpg.  Stock averaged about 31mpg.  I was doing 30 miles a day, a mixture of B roads, heavy traffic and hard dual carriageway acceleration.

People getting way less than that are hard on boost pretty much all the time I would say, or something isn't right with the setup / tune.   When not in boost the economy should be the same as standard.

With my K04, if I do a 50 to 60 mile round trip and I just cruise, back roads and city mixed, I average 28 mpg. But my long term average which reflects my normal driving is 25 mpg currently. Highway and Freeway long cruises will average 31±2 mpg. These numbers are all down approx. 2 mpg from when was running the stock K03 tuned.

If you have vcds or other device to check LTFT...see what the fuel additive is in block "multiplicative".

Ron is talking about a us gallon, which at 3.75 litres is @15% less than ours.

Although my car is a k03 stage 1 with vis pump, mpg varies hugely with high teens on short journeys around town in winter to early 40s on long motorway runs in summer.

Stage 2 is plenty fast enough and still can achieve good mpg..... if you’re after a sorted car , check my Pirelli out that’s for sale .  :happy2:

You're not going to get many petrol cars made in the last decade, with circa 350hp, giving much more than 25mpg as a long term average.  The latest gen x35i BMWs can get 30+, but only at stock power.

27-28 for stage 2+ is bloody brilliant.  I was lucky to get 20 from my old E30 and E34 2.5i BMWs, and 24 was good from my standard VR6 Corrado.  Things have come a long way.
