Title: Genuine GTI Floor Mats
Post by: TheBALDpuma on May 31, 2018, 04:42:47 pm
Are these the genuine GTI Mats?

http://www.vwmotorparts.com/accessories-c-37_91_112/genuine-vw-golf-gti-carpet-mats-with-stud-fittings-p-1061.html

They're what I've got in at the moment, and have just work through (at least 30,000 miles old, and thats assuming they were brand new when i bought them.  But the GTI badge went a bit tatty early on, and my local dealer will sell me non GTI mats for £45, and I don't think it's worth the extra £20 (once you add postage) for GTI embroidery that doesn't stay nice.

They are genuine mats dude good price shame about the £20 P&P its a bit over the top, even on ebay they are £60ish.

These are not genuine ones but they are good quality and last a long time if you dont mind a friend has a set of these with the boot liner and he is really happy with them

You can change the clips to ones in your existing mats or just buy some new ones for a few £

I have the twist fitting and bought them with the small hole and just changed them for some i bought on ebay.

You can also change the fastener in your carpet if you choose what ever you decide its a very easy thing to do.

They look fantastic.  I use the genuine VW rubber mats, but they are all-black with no branding.

Drove over to VW today with the intention of buying the £65 GTI mats.  On my way there I thought its ludirous paying an extra £25 for a RED GTI logo when I have a pirelli and all the stithcing etc is yellow. Changed my mind at the last minute and just got plain carpet ones, and honestly think they go better with the interior.

The only reason why i got th original VW GTI ones was because some complete idiot a friend bought the wrong ones left them in his bedroom for about a 4months then realised they dont fit his Polo lol so i got them at a discount £40, he now double checks if hes getting the right parts for his little Rolo.

Otherwise i would of got the rubber ones, i have a boot liner out of an old scrapper i had Astra H(Horrible cars didnt even want to spend money on fuel for it)
