Post by: SpudGTI on June 07, 2018, 08:41:59 am
Hi all i need to get some discs front and back before i order some just want to dubble check what size disc i need

280mm
Or
312mm

Thanks in advanced

Any sujections about what discs you all use would be great was thinking grooved and drilled Mtec black ones?? Can get a set of brembo grooved for £150 with pads but they have the sensors on yet again not sure if mine has the sensors? Dont really want to take it all off to find out what i need and put it all back on till it arrives hahahahaha

Is 312/286. I have had Mtec c hooks for a couple of years now and the black finish is a good idea to slow down rusting.

Are all GTI 286 rears? As I know on the Leon FR (Guilty! Sorry!) which is essentially the same car underneath, the rear disc setup varied and some had a smaller rear brake setup. The only way to know for sure was to get the VIN looked up by a dealer or to measure the disc size

I took the size from the invoice for the discs I fitted two years ago to my 2007 chassis car  :happy2:
