Hi

Currently looking for a nice 5 door GTI (pref in grey) and in sorted condition so thought I would join. Just let one slip through my fingers due to family tragedy so want to cover all bases this time!

After a long search it seems I have found one. Deal agreed but yet to see it. Pick it up on 4th Sept.

It's a grey, un-abused and totally stock car with only 38,000 miles on the clock. FSH.

It has leather but seriously considering changing the seats to tartan cloth. So anyone wanting a full leather interior should let me know. The drivers seat bolster needs a bit of TLC from a restorer but it isn't ripped so shouldn't cost much. Anyone know if the wiring will be the same between Mk5 seats and Mk7.5 seats (thinking of getting a new set)?

It has a Kenwood stereo in it but that will likely be changed as I want Apple CarPlay and a RNS510 look - any ideas?

Reversing camera and cruise are also mods on my list if anyone can recommend someone in the east mids.

Really looking forward to getting the car and hoping the wealth of knowledge on here will help me on the way.
