Title: Sensor on the thermostat housing ???
Post by: Colinspence on June 28, 2018, 08:09:20 pm
So I’m trying to get the fans working
On my 2.0 tdi 140
Iv replaces the fans ..
Going to replace the thermostat
And Iv found a sensor that plugs into the housing ...

Is this another temp sensor (exactly the same as the coolent gauge sensor )??
As I can’t find a name for it anywhere not even in the Haynes Manual and I want a new one so make sure I can sort this none fan working problem out when it’s up to temp

Yes. 2 sensors, on my car, one on the main thermostat housing and one near the inline stat above my dsg. Both are grey and held in with plastic u clips

Iv changed the sensor. And the thermostat but still the fans won’t come on when up the temp ?

Is there a fan relay or a fuse ??
Iv checked all the fuses and can’t see any blown
