Bit of help needed here people,
Where's the best place to buy a new OEM Audi S3 intercooler? Wanting to put one on my Edition 30 in the next few weeks.
Had a search around the forum and the internet and the only place so far i have found them at is JKM at £370 inc vat.
Any help would be much appreciated!

As silly as it sounds, have you tried an Audi Dealer?
-
imo - dont waste your money on the s3 cooler the gains over stock are minimal
save up another £100 and choose from the THS or Forge Twintercooler
if you do want to get the s3 cooler then your best bet is an audi dealer parts department
-
Was going to try audi as a last resort as i thought that they would charge a lot for them,
gtijames - i will have a look at the THS and Twintercooler and see what they're like cheers mate
-
You tried an Audi forum? Like RS246.com?
I've even had bits from Skoda and SEAT sites before.... :nerd:
-
I got mine from Audi.
-
i got mine from vwspeed £280+vat although its no longer on their website you might want to send them an email.
@ Gtijames- its been proven the s3 ic gives good gains over standard, iirc around 20% more efficient. Although the THS and Forge is better they are a like £200 more than what i paid.

I got my S3 cooler form ebay for £150.
Pipes put the price up a bit but still hard to beat for that.

i agree there is an improvement over stock and if you can get it for £150 then fair play but for £370 plus the extra fitting time involved with the s3, then the forge if you shop around, c£500, gives alot better performance at not much more when you account for extra labour
i know vag group have upped their parts prices in 2010 so you may well find its not as good value as it used to be

Yeah agreed if thats the cheapest he can find the S3 IC i would prob go straight for the THS or Forge.

you can get the forge for £450 off ebay for the vRS and mk2 S3, the gti seems a touch more expensive though

You could have simply cut the metal couplers off at the IC end of the standard gti hoses and attach the hoses on to the S3 IC using jubilee clips...
