Can anyone confirm if a MK7 GTi gearknob/Gaitor will fit my MK5 GTi?

It can do but it's not a straight swap, the metal lever rod has to be cut shorter and re profiled, there's a guide on here somewhere, try doing a search.

To clarify the gaitor doesn't fit, just the knob with some filing. Best off looking for a 2014+ scirocco gaitor to match.
