Title: S3 wishbones - bush replacement
Post by: Brad_ED30 on August 04, 2018, 02:35:40 pm
Are the bushes on the S3 wishbones any different to that on the mk 5 golf ED30?

NSF bush needs replacing and my car has had S3 wishbones fitted by the previous owner.

Also any possibility / benefits of upgrading these bushes

Thanks!

Same for either but lots of people would probably upgrade to a anti lift kit (WALK for whiteline, SALK for superpro)

Your upgrade for the front bushes would be poly bushes from superpro etc plus also an anti lift kit for the rear consoles. IIRC the S3 rear console bushes were solid rubber rather than the voided rubber fitted to GTi however the extra castor as well as stiffness of polybush will help tighten steering as well as giving better traction. That was my experience of the superpro control arm kit and there was no noticeable NVH issues with their road durometer bushes.
