Hi all.
My main key fob has stopped unlocking/locking. Fine in the ignition and fires up the car but no response on the buttons. My spare works fine, the main one flashes as normal when trying to lock/unlock. Is it a case of a reset for whatever reason. If so How?
Thanks for any help!

You tried replacing the battery in the fob??
-
Not yet, only occurred this evening. If I did and it was the cause would it still need resetting?
-
No it wouldn’t need resetting

This happened to mine I have a mk7 upgraded fob changed the battery then fine for bout a week now it either locks and don’t unlock or vice versa. Doing my head in so using standard spare fob now but looks dated

Nope not the battery. New battery in and tried re-syching via instructions in handbook, not good.
Driving the car today I had to resynch the one touch up/down on the electric windows. Glitch somewhere..........

Try this
1) Unlock the door to your car using the key blade
2) Insert your old key blade into the ignition and turn it to the "on" position, but do not start the car.
3) Roll down your driver's side window
4) Step out of the car and insert your new key into the driver's door lock, now turn the key to the left and hold it in that position for 10 seconds.
5) Now press the lock button on the FOB
6) Now press the unlock button on the FOB
*Spare key being your old and one in question being the new
