Title: Interior lights won't work with headlights on

Hi.

I installed an LED bulb in the glovebox light.  Since then, interior lights will not work when the headlights are on.  All interior lights work fine when the headlights are off.

I have removed all the bulbs (and units that house them) from the glovebox and footwells and reset fault codes but I still get the error 'open or Short to Plus' on footwell lights in VCDS.  Only other issue that VCDS reports is that the alarm siren battery needs replacing.

Model is Mk6 GTI May'09 - so effectively a mk5.

Any pointers much appreciated.
