this morning 13th Feb 2010 Im getting a database error page when I submit a post.
it goes through ok though.
then it thinks someone posted (but it was me!)
just me or anyone else ?
in fact I got it posting this lol
"Database Error
Please try again. If you come back to this error screen, report the error to an administrator"
-
Me too - Still doing it. Posts in spite of forcing you into hitting the "Back" button on the Database Error screen.
I've PM'd SteveP.
-
I'm glad you posted this john. I'm getting them same
-
14:24 hrs and the issue appears to have been solved for now.
It's happened in the past. Just one of those code or path hiccups I guess.
-
A database recovery was run just after 14:00 this afternoon to fix a number of consistency errors.
Please let me know if anyone experiences any more problems.
Also if anyone gets any "precondition failed" errors please post the details up in this thread so I can investigate these too.
John_o you have a PM about the errors you reported :happy2:

....I get that too. Has been going on for months but as it's very random and doesn't last long I haven't bothered to report it.
-
The default session timeout is 2880 seconds or 48 mins so you pair must be dropping off to sleep for something.

....It times out at more like 48 seconds. Honest, guv.

....Will try to but I ain't gonna be running a stopwatch every time I start a post but it'll be near enough I guess.
-
I have extended the default timeout to 61 minutes now. I am not asking for you to run a stop watch but if you get errors report them so I can look in to it :happy2:

Will do, Steve, and I should be able to easily give you time elapsed to the nearest minute.

This 'error' hasn't happened to me for a while but has tended to happen in waves. I'll report if it happens again.
Btw, the reply page was only open for as long as it took to write the message you see (not long).

Yup i had a timeout error last night, didn't affect my posting, but i assume that it was incorrect considering I'd only spent about 40seconds writing the post!
