Title: Golf gti mk5 AXX squeak

Hi all going round and round but cant find an answer even my garage dosent really know

I have a intermitent squeak comming from driverside engine

It dosent happen some days and its there the next it seem to squeak when engine is just underload when you put the power on ive not been racing it just trundling in it you cant hear anything on idle or when you rev it up on a stand still in N but as soon as you put the engine in drive and start going its there only for a little bit then goes but like i say its not all the time just one day it might be there all day some days nothing at all

Any help or advice will be great

Maybe clutch related? Mine does the same sometimes, also an AXX but manual.

I would look into the Auxiliary belt area. spray the belt with wd40 and see if the noise goes (obvs on a day the noise does occur) if not, run the engine with the belt removed... but obviously not for long and see if the noise goes. that will give you more of an indication as to where the noise is coming from.
