Title: Can coil springs be upside down?

Hi guys

I have just purchased some new rear coil springs for my Mk5 gti and I just wondered how I tell which way is up? They look the same both ends?

So long as the pig tails locate properly into both mounts, it shouldn't matter.

if there's any writing on them... have it so its readable.
