Looking like I’m gonna be replacing the battery in my mk6 GTI, looking for some recommendations.
-
I've just replaced mine today with a Bosch one guaranteed for 5 years.

Try Tayna batteries.Ive only had experience of VARTA and EXIDE batteries. OEM VARTA lasted almost 8 years EXIDE going strong after 4 years
Eurocarparts could be worth a try especially with a decent discount code

It’s the original battery in the car just now (12plate) so that’s so I’d be ok with putting like for like back in, however found this

Same battery is on tayna for about £89 delivered. I've used them twice with no problems.
For what it's worth, I got a Varta silver, this is cheaper and also comes with 5 year warranty

That battery is the wrong size I think, it should be 096 not an 027

That’s the one that comes up when I put my reg into the search option??
-
They list smaller batteries so they're cheaper when comparing. They do it across a lot of models

Ok cheers for the heads up, I’ll keep looking for the correct one as nothing would get dispatched until Monday.

027 is for the regular 2.0 non turbo, 096 is for the GTI.
