Title: NSR Tyre inside edge worn
Post by: Dave Y on February 24, 2019, 08:17:58 pm
As above the inner edge of the tyre is wearing badly.
The other three are fine.
What  could  cause this
Is it a common fault?

Sounds like it's time to get some wheel alignment done.

Mine had this, but was both tyres.   I was told it was worn rear shocks and springs.  Also alignment could be out as you've only got 1 wheel doing it.

Perhaps it is time for new shock absorbers.
Who sells OEM at a good price?
Could I fit oem shocks with slightly lower springs ?
What size is the standard rear anti roll bar ?

It does sound like this wheel is seeing too much camber.

I need to refurb the suspension then get a 4 wheel alignment done.
I want standard shock absorbers and slightly lower springs.
Where do I go for them?

I want the same at some point this year Dave, I've been eyeing this kit up for a while.

I’ve some Eibach sportlines for sale if you’re interested?
Ran them before I had coilovers.
20-25mm drop I think they quote, had them on with Oem shocks with no probs.

I got coilovers on mine.. (JOMs.. ermm yeah, not my choice, they came on the car) so I do want shocks and springs, OEM feel with sportier stiffness. have you still got the OEM shocks too? although you might have sold them by the time I come to buy some, got holiday coming up, so brassic atm.

I’ve actually put my original springs and shocks back on the car. Need the car to be back to stock I’m afraid.
I’ve got the coilovers (H&R Ultralow) for sale and the Sportines too...no more lowlife sadly

I have this, although bought it all separately.  Works really well for the price.  I do however get some bottoming out issues on some speed bumps and when doing things like mounting kerbs.

thanks @shail (http://212.48.90.14/forum/index.php?action=profile;u=10709) I'm pretty sure my JOM - A - DOM - Condoms are like 30 odd mm low front and back and I occasionally scrape some higher speed bumps, tyres rub arches if cornering a little too hard and the roads a bit bumpy.. it can literally foul the arches, ive had to bend the inside lip back up a few times! and I don't even chance mounting kurbs, although it'd be nice to be able to if needed. I defo think your set up will be the way I go :-)
