Hi guys.
Going to have my water pump and cam belt done shortly as it's about 5 years since the last. It has already had 2 done, the last at 75k miles and it's now on130k miles.
Anyone had it done recently etc and much did you pay?
VW want £549, click mechanic quote £450.
Still sounds expensive?
Cheers Paul

£375 was what it cost me 2017 with a local VAG specialist. Genuine parts, pump, belt and coolant.
That is with a small discount I get as a long term customer - basically worth about an hours labour cost - £420 IIRC without the discount

Found a local specialist £325. So booked in there.

I think I waited for a discount / deal at my local authorised technician for £350.

VW often have offers on with both for £400. Not sure if there is any pattern to this though, seems random when the deals appear so I keep my eye on them.

It's a simple job DIY if you have the tools and space. I think the parts came to about £230 when I last did it. OEM from the dealer.
