Title: RNS510 vs Pioneer Avic F900BT
Post by: golfather on February 17, 2010, 10:52:42 pm
Was thinking of going for the OEM look and getting a RNS510, but also wondered what people thought about using aftermarket solutions like the Pioneer?

I was going to amp it up so it would be much easier to do this with a Pioneer.

And it doesnt look too bad either ;)

I have no experience with the pioneer so I couldn't comment, but putting an amp on the RNS is simple to. I used the Blaupunkt THA 555 plug and play amp. Just something to think about.  :happy2:

i had a nice 900bt for about a month, lovely unit all in one, the bt is good so is the nav system, problem was it was very easy to steal and so it got stolen under a month after installation  :sad1: so now i have installed oem bt, and will fit rns-510, so at least there's still bt if it get's stolen, and only vw cars it'll fit in for the thieves
