Post by: emmat on March 20, 2019, 05:41:20 pm
OK - having read several threads i decided to get BKR7EIX plugs for my 2007 mkv gti

i see them on https://www.awesomegti.com/shop-by-brand/ngk/ngk-iridium-x-spark-plug-set-2-0-tsi-and-fsi-turbo/ @ 38 spondulics

so i now check fleabay for cheaper so i type in the code above - but when i check the compatible vehicles thing it does a "computer says noooo" ! ie "not compatible with my vehicle"

Am i doing summit wrong, or is it an ebay doesnt know these plugs are fine type issue

Or can you help and give me a link for........ oem ngk BKR7EIX plugs - many thanks
ps ......pls go easy on me due to learning diffs.

I'd trust Awesome over eBay. Apparently there are fake plugs on eBay, never experienced that myself but that's what I've heard.

There are indeed.  There's a youtube video showing you what to look for on NGK packets to determine fake ones.

You certainly don't want electrodes dropping off at 6000rpm and destroying the turbo's turbine wheel...and exhaust valve potentially.  Been there, done that.

This is why you will constantly see Preacher Pudding trying to convert his disciples to genuine parts only.
