Title: Changing Seats
Post by: Hibs on February 18, 2010, 10:01:12 am
I've been thinking of changing my cloth seats for leather for a while now and finally seen a full set which I'm quite tempted to buy. Thing is the leathers are electric and the seats currently in mine are manual.

How much of a job would it be fit these?

That actual removal and re-fitting of the seats is very straightforward. If you use the search facility you should find a guide!  :happy2:

Sorry I meant the eletric side of things. Is it an easy (possible) task to do or is it a huge wiring job??

I am having a bit of difficulty with mine too, as I fitted ED30 seats into my GTI, The seats came from an 07, mine is an 05, and as such the adaptor for the airbags in the seats don't fit, I have thought about changing the adaptors myself from the old seats, but as the wires are different colours on the old seats to the new ones am a bit worried about doing it.
The changing of the seats itself is very simple, the rear ones seem more confusing to me than the fronts.
