Title: Engine management light
Post by: AliGTI on March 30, 2019, 12:53:15 pm
Afternoon all. I have a 55 plate GTI with an engine managment light. It's  just passed the 140000 mark. The car some times revs high when idleing even when warm so it's not choke. Does anyone have an idea of what to check first? I have a little code reader that says bank 1 to lean. Any help would be really appreciated. Cheers ladys and gents.

Charcoal canister would bring up the associated fault code.

As the link shows, there is more than one 'lean' code so we will need the actual code and a bit more information in order to help

@AliGTI (https://www.mk5golfgti.co.uk/forum/index.php?action=profile;u=11667)  it sounds like some sort of a leak to be fair. Start there first :)
