...On my Steel Grey 3door, can't decide. Should I? :indifferent:

I'm torn between those, some LM reps in a similar colour, Charlestons or Audi S-Line splits
All of these will be in 18" on stock springs for now.
Opinions? I can't decide if RS4's are too aggressive or suit the Mk5 nicely?
-
i think they look good mate , makes me want to get mine re coloured :happy2:
-
Personally, I think they look awesome in that colour combination :happy2:
-
^^^^

Thumbs up from me, I did consider getting some done in a matt textured finish as I think they would look good. :happy2:

prefer the RS6 to the RS4's to be honest, and the pic looks like 19's but you plan to run 18's so may not look as good.
requires a good drop for full effect
@rubbertoe : that looks proper amazing , well done :congrats: . they dont look 'too big' to me ?

My neighbours got a set from the a4 final edition that's been sat in his garage for about a year now and I know they were desperate to get rid of the things. Send me a pm and if you want any info I'll pass them on.
Luke.

They look mint mate!!
-
that looks wicked but then I'm abit biased mate cos I just bought a set cheap off pistonheads to spray either gunmetal or a carbon grey to match my new look. BUT....
The bstad told me they were et43 and after spending 2 hours sanding one down I now know they are 33 not 44 buggabugga bugga
ssorry to hijack the thread but love the look of OP's first pic and wanna go for it...
Will they fit or do I finish the colour work ans try to sell on????

Sell them, you will have problems unless the width is 7.5j or less. with a offset of 33. :sad1:

That looks awesome!
How much are they?
Would the size be the same as standard Pescara's??
Im tempted!!!
-
^ The ones in the pic I posted are either 18x8 or 19x8.5 Ifti. Not sure purely because I found it on a google image search when I was bored  :signLOL:
I'd say they look like 18's though with a nice drop?
I'm not going bigger than 18x8 so hopefully they'd look okay
-
Pretty sure those grey RS4's are 19'' not 18's.
The tyre profile looks very low.
They look awesome on the car though!
-
these are 19 s (to compare size )

They will fit a gem as howard states ^ :happy2:
My (unfitted) Monza II polished reps are 18x8 et 45 too.
Btw, bloody good price are they not mate, even for reps? They look a very accurate replica I must say too.

I,M SO PI##D OFF AT THE OTHER GUY but need to "replace" them quick, then i,m gonna get these babies smoothed and painted!
thanks guys
matsu
edit-and am i looking at 235 tyres? sorry- :sad1:newbie :ashamed:
-
bump for rdfcpete? :ashamed:
matsu
-
he means yes they are a good price i.e cheap. And 235 tyres is plenty big enough, 225 45s or 40s would be fine for those alloys
-
Sorry Matsu!
Yeah, as Howard says, to me they're well priced for reps as they look better than some of the reps I've seen on ebay for £400+ (i.e. like the genuine thing, some look shat).
I think they'll look + sit nicely on yours. Just a bit lost about the centre caps mate, as it looks like they're blank ones on there atm? Be a bit annoying if you can't remove them and have to use stickers?
-
it says in the advert badges and fitting kit (bolts) included. generally you specify what badges you would like when you buy them, as some ppl want them to have audi ones so they look genuine, and others want vw badges instead. the centre badge will be removeable, would be very surprised if it isnt. :happy2:
-
Thanks for getting back to me. Am ordering today on quiet and will come up with cunning plan on how I have two sets explanation soon lol. I think I'll order vw badges or will I eek!
Thanks again guys
pics up soon as I get underway with spraying.

:signLOL: Just say to the missus that there was a problem with the wheels they sent you (imply their mistake), then they sent you a replacement set for you to return originals (cause obviously you cant drive on no wheels!). Some twist on the truth should do!
Are you spraying yourself?
-
yeah mate. i,m practising on the wrong size set as of today.
sanded using oxide and wet/dry paper-got loads of the kerbing and serious scuffs out-they wont be perfect cos they really were nackered but ive primed and rubbed down two and got them looking pretty clean and smooth with the odd lil mini mark.
ive bought bmw sparkling graphite or something stupid sounding and it looks soooo much better than i thought.
so if the other are beeter condition to start with-should be easier
ill try get a daytime pic tomo and post up.
to be honest this is first proper project i,ve ever done from start to finish and iv really enjoyed it so i might continue to find a cheap set and spray and sell on ebay just for a hobby-also gives me excuse for so many extra sets rims in garage
oh and gonna prob carbon wrap the badges to try bring it all together??
just want to say again thanks for everyones help and sorry to hijack the thread.
