Title: Trying to put my cars engine bay back to standard - please help with part number
Post by: mcblfc88 on April 24, 2019, 04:48:19 pm
Ok so bought the Mk5 gti for my mrs and it’s got a ramair induction kit on it which she is adamant she does not want.

Unfortunately no engine cover was supplied, but I’ve got a good condition engine cover / air box assembly with the “snorkel” type pipe on the right hand side and the Downpipe for left hand side. Also got all the grommets and pegs they attach to.

But I’m missing the bit that attaches to front end of engine bay, that snorkel fits to.

Would it be a bad idea to fit without this “duct”, can someone provide the part numbers for what I need to give me a fighting chance. It’s BWA engine

Some of the part numbers on that site are wrong or out of date, just to warn you.
