Title: Help required please (WD6050)
Post by: Lean on February 20, 2010, 07:08:35 pm: Please if anyone has knowledge of installing the WD6050 (waywell) head-unit and your located in the North (England) please get in touch I've had it installed for about 7 months but I never installed the rear camera and the DVB-T aerial. I'm happy to chuck some money your way - I just want to get this all sorted now. Or if you kow someone that can install these items please ask them to get in touch - Muchos gracias :happy2:

I'm waiting for my WD6050 to turn up and pre-empting it's installation wondered where to place the GPS aerial?
Oh yeah presume i need a twin Fakra convertor thingy aswell?

radio - bad reception even with a in line amp
cd - wont play when hot
nav- works most of the time but if i want to use my snooper it wont work
multi changer - dont work
ipod - the front lead is rubbish and the rear lead is not to be found

i also ordered the tv kit which didnt arrive .

With regards to the radio reception - Have you fitted a double fakra convertor lead?
Also try a different Ipod lead i think the supplied ones a a bit 'pony' to say the least.
Think the multi changer issue is very hit and miss from what i've read too.
Is your unit a Mk4 (with rear USB)?

Luckily i'm just wanting to hook up a USB source and not to worried about CD's

I am in Leeds.
Turned down the Waywell for a Canyen, though they are very similar.
What help do you need?

Post by: Lean on February 28, 2010, 05:45:22 pm: Hello mate I'm just not technical enough to install the dvb-t aerial in a good place and connect the better one (96db) I bought. Also I have no idea where to start in order to install the rear camera I bought with it.

You think you can help with any of those mate? :star:
