Title: Creaking from rear wheels/suspension
Post by: cormac81 on May 12, 2019, 07:01:00 am
I recently bought a mk5 GTI and have been busy addressing minor issues with the car.

I had the rear arms replaced as the camber bolts couldn't be shifted for alignment. Soon after the rear of the car started to creak when you drive along or get in or out of it.

The first suspect was the rear shocks as they were leaking but with them now replaced the noise is back.

The noise remains with the handbrake off so I don't think it's a rear caliper issue.

Any tips would be appreciated

its like a field of bushed back there, and never easy finding a creak! at a guess... it could be the Anti roll bar bushes.
