Title: Update: NSF and NSR doors wont open

so having run VCDS my faults are now

00929 - Locking Module for Central Locking; Front Passenger Side (F221)
01038 - Central Locking Thermal Protection
00926 - Terminal 30 011 - Open Circuit - Intermittent

In case anyone is interested my car went into vw dealer today and they said it's the door lock modual. Gonna a cost £290 for part and fitted plus the £114 diagnosis fee.
On the upside they gave me a brand new vw polo as a courtesy car.

Thanks.  Good to know the price.  I think my driver's door is going the same way - making strange noises and I have a  different scan code, but imagine the fix will be the same as yours.

I thought they would have to chop my.door skin off to open the car door because I couldn't for the life in me open it from outside or inside. They obviously have a trip how to open it.. wish I knew what it was cos they I could have taken the door skin off and replaced it myself.

Here is the bill for a £20 part I could have bought myself. They charged me for a fault scan even thought I've got full vcds and printed them off the fault code.
If only I could have opened the door I could have done the job myself.
Oh well las least it's fixed now.

I had a similar prob on my Mk5 GTI auto electrician found bad earth to BCM £70 fixed
