As above before I bought mine both of my mates squeal really bad (A 58 & 56 Reg) but now mine have started doing it worse than theirs & more often, I feel like a right nob with a 28k car that sounds like a taxi that hasnt had an MOT/Service coming to a stop even more when other cheap motors seem fine when driving around.
Any ideas? its going into Audi for them to have a look at but am abit worried about the evoms intake, forge dv & maybe the revo if they find it even tho I will switch it off before I go. Also if they get rid of my remap am I right in that I cant just put it back on with the select plus switch as it doesnt actually hold the map??

it is quite common pal, a spirited drive with plenty of braking is supposed to help, funny enough mine doesn't do it

O yes and if they do a software update and wipe your map you are correct in thinking you can't put it back on with your switch but your Revo dealer should put it back on for you, may charge you a nominal labour charge, some do, some don't :smiley:

My mates 09 S3 SB did this too and he has just had it in to be sorted. All seems ok now, but I will find out what it is they changed, altered to cure it.. :wink:

Regarding your squeak, you can chase your tail trying to solve it. Would suggest simply swapping the pads, pad squeal is the sum total of many variables, so changing the pads should solve the problem.
Once the pads are out cleaning the pad galleries with a solvent soaked cotton bud, and then liberal dashings of copperslip or ceratec then new pads and they'll be as good as new.
If its a warranty job then new OEms but if you're paying get some pads from Brake International they'll be Textar and OEm equivs

Sorry about the delay of the reply mate, only got to speak to my mate yesterday. Apparently they replaced the brake servo unit when his went in and seems to of cured it so far. All done under warranty and was quite a big job by all accounts..

Ye car goes into audi this week for full new disks & pads all around

The chances are that the problem will just return then. Lack of proper anti-sieze in all the correct places is usually the biggest cause of brake squeal. And being as most Audi stealers seem to only use Plastilube - the omens are not good.
