It was me mate, pushed the boat out, bought the other set too, going to make a mini cinema room out of them.
Will be buying some R32 engines too as drinks holders to go next to them.

I am ideally on the lookout for Interlagos cloth ones anyway so not to worry! :)

The other guy paid cash in person on a private sale.

Approx 10% of the value of my car, for most of the interior sounded like a decent deal to me! :wink: In all seriousness, my arse did nip a little bit when I made the best offer but I've wanted them for ages so thought what the heck! Considering some Sportster CS Recaro's too if I can't get the ones I'm after...

Dont you like the recaro pole positions ? you should be able too buy those and mounts and get Â£800 change easy !
They are proper buckets and comfortable too, not quite as user friendly as the r32s i would imagine.

I know what you mean mate, I do love the PP's having been out in Jonny's car a couple of times, I love their grip, but I've got 2 kids so I need to be able to fold them forward to get them in the back. Plus I'd prefer the R32 seats for their OEM'ness! :happy2:

Unless you're fussed that the seat head logo displays .:R rather than GTI.

Thanks Robin, I'd love a set regardless of if they had GTI, .:R or Darren + Tracey written on them!

Yours look lovely, I was looking for them last night on here to no avail! I am seriously considering the Sportster CS, but I'd want them trimmed in the Interlagos cloth as well and it would end up costing a fortune I bet!...

Not too difficult to get the Interlagos (the correct Mk5 version) - MJ Interiors oop noorff. He's a VW specialist restorer etc. A local guy who is 3rd generation coach builder and also specialises in VW Campers did mine. IIRC about Â£250 and there's no way I'd begrudge him a single penny - He lined up the patterns so it matched even when the back seat headrests were removed - Cool attention to detail.

I bought the seats from JonnyC - A real gent and man of his word.

Hope you find some one day. I wasn't actively looking!
