Just wondering if it's a good idea fitting 19 inch wheels to my mk5 gti? Does anyone know if they will rub or affect the handling? Just think they look awesome :happy2:
-
I along with others have had 19s on but it really depends on the ET? Mine were ET41 I think and I did get minor rubbing issues.
-
mine are et45, not lowered and ive never had any issues
-
Thinking about a set of bbs ch or bbs ck rims. Just tink 19's are maybe the new 18's?
-
17's are the new 18's !!
-
check out your ET's first and suitable tyre widths that go with it...
also depends if you want to go low , lower or touching frame ...
also consider wheel quality and weight. It would be preferable to not go up in weight compared to a std 18 or even go down.
(consider 19's tyres are heavier too)
do your research thoroughly before buying anything would be my advise :happy2:
-
i am putting 19" bs ch with a et 0f 50 and the tyres will be 225/35/19 as mine is lowered

Mine is on 19" BBS CH's and eibach sportslines. Tyres are 235/35/19, no rubbing whatsoever :happy2:

.........love you'r style mate.  :congrats: :congrats:.

I was running FSD's and H&R springs (not in that picture though) and I found it pretty good, a little 'firm' but nothing too drastic. Not sure what difference the wheels made as they were only on a day before I had the suspension done.
Just remove the front arch screw and I had no rubbing problems - even with weight in the back.

He needs a gentle push :fighting2: as he's always changing his mind :signLOL: either that or he arrived home with a 2k mountain bike that he was looking at this afternoon Dead man walking :signLOL:

Just weighing up the options toasty don't want to rush into anything that I'm going to regret :P
No Mountain bike today, going to get a shot of a demo one weekend then decide if I want to order one! Have no fear wheels and remap will still be on the cards!
