Title: PRNDS flashing on dash and S lit up on DSG
Post by: dave1814 on July 24, 2019, 08:59:43 am
Hi,

So the other day PRNDS started flashing on dash and the S is lit up on the gear selector, ive read the error codes and got 3 relating to the issue (I think!)...

Address 02: Auto Trans        Labels: 02E-927-770.clb
00194 - Ignition Key Removal Lock
            008 - Implausible Signal - Intermittent

Address 16: Steering wheel        Labels: 1K0-953-549-MY8.lbl

2 Faults Found:
00194 - Ignition Key Removal Lock
009 - Open or Short to Ground - Intermittent
02413 - Switch for Selector Lever Position P Lock (F319)
            008 - Implausible Signal - Intermittent

However gear shifting seems fine in D, S and using the flappy paddles.

From what i've read im thinking it could be the selector mechanism?

Any ideas?

thanks!

As in the mechatronic but your driving fine in every gear could be a tricky one

I've just tried running a DSG reset but thats not helped.

One thing I did notice was this....

Is it normal to display 'D' in selected gear when 'S' is actually selected?

thanks!

Do these have the same gubbins as on an a4 selector wise?  My mate had the ‘red light’ selector issue and that pointed to the circuit board.  However the magnet had also moved so using a shim on that, it’s actually cured the problem.
