Title: New owner, p1297, p0101,p2188
Post by: ryn079 on July 28, 2019, 09:57:41 am
Hi guys, I'm a new owner of a 2007 gti.  I am having p1297, p0101 and p2188.  The main issue is the p1297 which is constant and the other errors come up after driving hard for a long time.  Car has power, but not much in lower rpm.  Diverter valve removed and checked, no broken diaphragm.  What I then noticed is a very strong vacuum when removing oil cap. Any ideas please as I am used to tdis not petrol.  Boost pipes seem ok, no visible oil leak from there.

Have you had a look at the PCV valve?

Thanks guys for trying to help. What should I look for in the pcv? How do you detect vacuum leaks and or boost leaks?
