Hi guys my March 2007 ed30 is going in for its 2nd service and Mot at the Vw garage this Friday and while its in I've asked them to go over the car 2 check for any suspect parts before the warranty is up next week. Now I do have a good relationship with the boss of the garage so if any parts were to fail in the following months I'm sure they'd accomodate me
The parts I can think of so far are
1.steering rack
2wheel bearings
3.battery
4.Pcv
5.Clutch as I've begin to feel it slipping :scared:
6.Air-con
7.cambelt tensioner
8.Brake fluid getting changed
Any other suggestions would be great :happy2:

Although you can visually check, if you have corrosion ask for new exhaust tips and same goes for wheel centres. I had both these under warranty. My next service is due in 1000 miles :sad1:

When you say wheel centres do you mean the plastic VW badges? Or the section meeting the hubs?
Also, how did they solve your exhuast tip corrosion?
I have found VW warranty to be a bit hit and miss, depends on what the dealership is like. Some blag you with a load of nonsense.

Well just picked up the car and its past its 1st Mot with flying colours :jumpmove: They also checked the other parts on my list and said every thing was ok! Only problem is when I told them about the clutch slipping and how it could be due to the duel mass flywheel they straight away said its not covered Sooo don't know what to do as I switched the map off when it was in but as soon as I got on the road put it on again and the slippage started I gave my local tuner a phone told him what was happing he said to supply and fit an uprated sachs would be £800ish then proceeded to tell me 'I've also got a diff sitting on my shelf'  Only problem is the funds :sad1:
