Title: loose driver's side door panel
Post by: tonyh on January 02, 2009, 11:41:46 am
panel seems to have slipped or come off an internal clip and now wobbles from rubber strip down to panel when closing door.  pop into dealer or is it a diy fix ? thanks

Dunno but mine has a screw missing from when it was resprayed (I didn't notice for about a month!).

Anybody know what screw goes in the top left corner of the drivers door?

id say take it to the dealer and at a guess they`ll prob send it to the body shop so make sure there a good body shop. oh and is it still under warranty?  they should be made to sort it if its not imo

yes they are bolted on, which can lead to the of the mis-alignment experienced by some. My first Gti was terrible, think its one of the things they've changed with the mk6 to reduce production times and cost
