Title: Gti rear bushes - joints - control arm overhaul

Hello,

Has anyone bought this kit to overhaul the rear bushes, joints, and control arms on the rear of their GTI?

I’ve been pricing up just the bushes themselves and there isn’t much price difference so why not just replace the arms at the same time? I think changing the arms would be less labour than replacing the bushes. Has anyone any experience of doing the same? I.e spend more on parts but less on labour?

My dealer replaced all suspension arms rather than bushes because it was more cost effective 😉

Just spoke to vw parts who quoted £569 for all new LH and RH upper and lower rear wishbone arms complete with tie rods, nuts, bolts and bushes.

Anyone ever ordered the £189 eBay kit who could comment on quality?

Did you call Tps and ask for a price ???????? I didn’t pay Vw price and I got discount 😂

If you dont go TPS go for lemforder.  Quality is better than meyle (wouldn't surprise me if they came out the same factory)
 Have had failings with meyle bushes and metal parts :happy2:

Found this full front & rear kit on eBay -

Mix of Meyle & Lemforder. Apparently, Lemforder don't make complete kits, hence would need to purchase separately

Are you going to put those together yourself?????????
If you are not you are going to have to pay someone to do it and some of those bushes are a ball ache todo.

Not sure yet, I’ve got hydraulic ramp so will consider.

Just priced up on the avs website as around £470. The eBay options worry me as being too cheap to be true at £189 for the rear kit. TPS I’ll have to call as I can only find service items and oil and filters on the website.
