Lads, Is mobil 1 esp 5w30 ok to use in the GTI. had a look on the website for it and the spec is s follows:
Volkswagen (Gasoline / Diesel) 504.00 / 507.00
Is that volkswagen approved? :driver:

Any reason you want to use it ?, i would put the longlife castrol vw stuff in myself :happy2:

Ave been using mobil 1 for years or my last audi's and just thought i would stick with it. its not due a service for another 10k miles on the long life plan. but was just gonna change the oil myself in the meantime for some peace of mine. The car gets a bit of a hard life haha :driver:

Broonie - if your car does get a hard life, then there are considerably better oils than Mobil 1 (which is NOT fully synthetic).
