Title: Mk5 gti rear bumper modification
Post by: Bad-vw-boy on August 26, 2019, 01:33:42 pm
Looking to paint my gti lower section to match the rest of the car, and paint the lower exhaust section gloss black, has any one done this , and if I want to change the exhaust area do I need to cut it out? and will a after market be able to be clipped in?

I had this done to a few Golf's, sets up the car nicely overall in appearance:

OEM GTI rear valance painted in Silver on top, matte black on the bottom. This had a Milltek aftermarket exhaust on and it bolted in fine through the standard exhaust cut out without mods to the valance.

My current GTI with OEM R32 rear valance in Graphite Blue and SRS-Tec Rear Diffuser (GTI version) (https://srs-tec.de/product/rear-diffuser-g5-r32-vw-golf-v/?lang=en) in gloss black. Just stock exhaust with Audi tips, no modification needed for the bumper or the exhaust as it's direct bolt on.
