Title: Cracked hpfp solenoid
Post by: bobby_fodge on September 03, 2019, 11:14:35 am
Hi, I've noticed a crack on the top of the hpfp solenoid. Do I now need to replace the solenoid or is the crack of no consequence?

if you notice any problems with your car's engine running?

I suppose it just depends how back the crack is!

Any photos?

I have seen a few with cracked solenoids and never any problems, my last gti had a cracked bit too for ages and was never a problem. a mate of mine actually lifted his up and glued it, I don’t think it made any difference. Either way he never had issues either.
