Title: Help identifying fault code - 08328 DTC not found
Post by: Broomy on September 16, 2019, 09:13:50 am
Appealing to the masses with this one as I’ve had no joy scouting the web for clues.
Fitted a new battery last week & had one trouble free trip afterwards before the EML came on & left the following 2 codes

01681 abs wheel speed signal (rear left) sporadic lower limit exceeded

08328 - DTC not found

I’m going to try cleaning up the rear left sensor & ring later today see if that clears the first code.

Can anyone help with the 2nd one? Very rare you get zero hits on google for something, it really has me stumped

If I clear the codes I can continue my journey & usually one more but the next time I start the car the EML illuminates & doesn’t go off until cleared again.

Anyone?

What are you scanning the car with? Might need a VAG specific tool such as VCDS or OBDeleven.

Agree that its odd not to find a hit on Google!

Using an Autel Vag405 scan tool but you’re right may need to see someone with vagcom or vcds.

Possibility it's just a random code but put P in front and errors exist

Hmm... that code seems to suggest ‘clutch pedal switch A circuit high’ & from reading suggests jumpy revs as a symptom which I don’t have.

Can I ask why you thought to put P in front? Just for my own curiosity.

Will just bite the bullet & leave it to the mechanic to sort as I’m clutching at straws.

It's not uncommon for VW fault codes to be pre-fixed with the letter P

Ah I see. Why would the last 8 fall off the original code?
