Hi, has everyone seen the price of genuine washer jets? Mine are blocked and I’ve tried boiling them and descaler but they are still pants. There are cheap ones available on eBay but have bad reviews. Has anyone bought a decent set and can recommend any without having to spend £38 each?

I bought a rear one on eBay for £4, though haven’t installed it yet. Existing one is partially snapped off.

I replaced mine last year, no way were they £38 for the pair though? From my dealership. I thought low 20s?
They were great to start with but after a while went a bit patchy - using AutoGlym wash, so I don't think it's my product.
How are people cleaning theirs? I used bi-carb on my originals but that made absolutely no difference...

Are they heated? I've seen genuine non heated ones for around 14 quid on Ebay.

No not heated

Been rubbish since I bought it, my washer bottle doesn’t have the gauze on either so that won’t help, but I use water only.

Don't buy the bay ones. They fit very loosely and its a stream rather than a spray. The front ones are about £12 each from the dealer. I had the same issue.
I empties the washes and poured a 500ml bottle of white vinegar in there and let it sit for 1-2 days. (Use it so it runs thru the lines) then used a good quality washer fluid (£2 from Aldi) and after 2-3 days it was spraying like brand new!

When you get the new washer jets fitted, i would advise you use decent screen wash. I use the genuine VW stuff for the fact it is designed to keep the VW fan style washer jets from clogging up.

The VW stuff also has additives to make the wiper blades last a bit longer. It's quite pricey but I like a smooth wipe
