Hi All,

Just picked up a 1L bottle of Castrol Edge 5W30 in my local Aldi for £7.99.
It's on special buy so assume it's a nationwide deal.

you'll need 5 of them (4.5L) for an oil change,  so thats £39.95, not cheap really. could be worth it to keep in the boot as a emergency though

Defo worth it for top ups, after all.. these cars are very oil thirsty! And usually those 1L are around the £10-12 area. Good spot and thanks for sharing Richtung ;-)

They can be on 5W30, especially the castrol!  Shell Helix Ultra AVL not so much, but an ageing engine can still trough through it.  A move to 0 or 5W40 definitely helps with that!
