My red mk5 gti is starting to bubble on the front wings. And it’s starting to worry me a little bit, I’ve heard there’s foam under the wings that can be the cause? Can anyone shed some light on this please? Thanks!

Standard MK5 problem if you search. Yep VW thought putting a huge great piece of foam and attaching it to the wing would be a good idea ;)
I just bought a pair of pre-painted ones from ebay, fitment was 9/10 but the OCD in me may lead to me getting a new genuine pair from VW when I eventually get a full respray, just because I know they're not OEM :D

Yes there's a wedge shaped piece of foam attached to the inside of the wing with the pointed end touching the inner lip of the wing, water absorbed by the foam runs down to the pointed end of the wedge and sits there rotting out the inner lip. If you can see it on the outside it will be much worse on the inside.
