Hi there,
I have a 2.0L TDI GT Sport, which as you probably know has GTI suspension. Because of this I thought you guys would be the best to ask...
I was wondering if anyone on here knows what the difference between these three springs are? I know they are all KW companies so why are the prices different? Are they different spring rates? different manufacturing practices?
Any help would be appreciated. :happy2:

Definitely different spring rates and maybe a different quality of materials used, i dont know about the materials so this is just a guess, but i have often read on here people assuming they are the same just because they come from the same factory. :happy2:

So what way does it go? KW hardest, Weitec medium to AP softest thats my guess.

I dont think it works like that pal. You can get various spring ratings for all of the above.
If you fitted all of the above you may not notice much difference between them, but under testing conditions the pedigree of each should show through. Plus its how long they keep performing as well. :happy2:

A ruff guess would say that weitec and KW would be the same.
both brands are KW and a lot of time its the same product with different branding and price.
maybe little lower component quality (metal type) on weitec.

Another difference is that the V1's have stainless steel body and the Weitec's are galvanised, so theorectically the KWs shouldn't rust. I hope that's the case as I've just had V1's fitted.

i can tell you from driving experience on both , that as far as i can tell , that is the only differance.
in Israel , that plays no role , however in the UK i would have gone for the KW's.

weitec and KW use vertually the same springs on the V1's. as already said the only difference in the weitecs and KW V1's is the steel body.

This input is helpful, thanks. I'm only looking at the lowering springs though not the coilovers.
I'm not really looking at the springs from a performance point of view just an aesthetic. I want to add 10mm spacers all round once lowered to improve the over all stance. There isn't that big of a price difference between the three, I think a £10 gap between each on DPM. Might just bit the bullet and go for the KW's.

The difference is mainly build and raw material quality.
AP - Entry
Weitec - Mid
KW - Top
