Title: All passenger doors not unlocking with fob
Post by: Bukket94 on December 23, 2019, 07:45:27 pm
Hey guys,

I bought a mk5 GTI today, big upgrade from my FN2 imo! But im having trouble unlocking all the passenger doors with the fob (its a 5 door). The fob opens the drivers door but all the passenger doors only open if i either open them from the inside or I press the unlock button infront of the drivers door handle inside. I've tried pressing the unlock button twice but I can't get them to open. Any tips would be appreciated :)

Usually first press on the key fob unlocks drivers door and second press should unlock all. You can also set it to unlock all doors on first press using VCDS.

If you can find someone with vcds, you can get them to set it to unlock all doors on the first press.

If you are really unfortunate, you’ve just bought a car that needs three new door locks. If that is the problem (and it’s not a VCDS issue as above) there is a great guide on here to replace them yourself (or you can pay a garage 300+ per lock...)
