Hi all
Mk5 GTI 2006 with Revo Stage 1
My battery went bad and was dead for a while. Tried to charge it and nothing happened. So put a new one in and now almost all the engine management lights are on: power steering, ABS, tyre pressure, main engine management, EPS. ABS and EPS do not work.
Occasionally I start the car and the lights are all out and everything is normal, but within 2 minutes all the engine lights come back on.
Any ideas what has caused this please and how I can fix it? Other than this the car drives really well!
Thanks all
Andy

I think you have to drive a certain distance then they automatically turn off

If you had an underlying fault with ABS sensors/rear hubs for example then the self-test won't turn off the lights automatically.
Really need to know what ABS codes you have.
There is a how-to thread on here with the details.

I had a similar experience after I changed my battery. It wasn't out of juice for long, maybe a couple of minutes. Afterwards, I had a lot of lights on the dash, but a few miles later they had all disappeared. It didn't take long. Iirc the last one to go out was the power steering light.

Should clear after a drive, if not plug it in and clear codes
