Title: MK5 GTI Pirelli Purchase - good buy???
Post by: dazzamann on January 31, 2020, 04:39:49 pm
Hi All,
This is my first post on this forum so please be nice lol. Been looking at selling my Audi A3 2013 to fund the Purchase of an S3 or GTI. I'm probably going to get about £8,000 for my Audi at best and the example's I've seen for S3's at this price range are pretty poor. So... I found a mk5 pirelli and the trader is willing to straight swap for my car and was wondering if I could get some opinions? Both links to the cars will be below.

Thanks!,
Darren

That seems like a lot of money just for the different wheels, seats and steering wheel.

That Pirelli looks cheap. 2008 car with one owner and 72k miles.

I would say it's a good buy - much rarer than the ed30 plus low mileage / low owner, so it should hold its value well. As for the swap question, I don't know much about the value of your car but based on what you say it does seem comparable plus an easy trade. Best have someone knowledgeable check out the Pirelli in case there are any big bills imminent eg cam belt / chain etc....
