				Hi guys,

I need to buy a socket to tighten the sump plug on my golf GTi mk5 and I wondered what size socket I need to buy?

 Thanks
 Craigh

-
				Big difference there :)

 Which is it?

				Another source 19mm:

				That's great. Thank you

-
				Yep 19mm

-
what size is the gearbox oil plug?

-
There's potentially different gearbox plugs so it's probably best to take a look yourself.

-
had to do this today mate was a 19mm don't know what the 14mm is about lol

The sump plug used to be 18mm, but is now 100% 19mm, just to add more confusion

Gearbox is usually a 13mm allen, but can also be 10mm, depends on the year.

Perhaps a decent socket set covering all the possibilities is a wise investment
