I need some help, I’ve done a bit of searching on here and I’m still struggling to find what I’m looking for.
Mk5 GTI 3-door drivers front seat, I’m after part numbers for the cloth/tartan seat covers, mine is starting to wear and would prefer to get genuine covers, I know it’s not the cheapest but if anyone can help with part numbers that work that would be amazing.

This sounds really expensive.
Have you considered finding a passengers seat just for the material -a decent trimmer will sort.
Or a bolt in solution - look for a LHD passenger seat from the continent, eBay.de - yes you will get reamed on postage, but you won’t need a trimmer and the bolsters will be mint.

I was quoted £1700 for a replacement edition 30 seat cover from VW a few years ago:-(
Good Luck

Can you not just ring VW parts department for part number?

If you get the PR codes from your boot sticker and use them to match your seat code within this link
http://vag-codes.info
you'll be able to get the part numbers your after in this link in the seat section

Yep, £800 for the upper cover and similar for the backside portion. The really annoying and stupid bit about the upper cover is the £25 heating element is not available separately, you have to buy the entire cover to get that.
My upper half's springs have collapsed and causing me back pain, but VW won't sell us a complete seat for some inexplicable reason, only bits of it. I'm sure they make the interior parts excruciatingly expensive on purpose to force people into new cars. Even the flimsy parcel shelf is something stupid like £300!

If we keep the cars long enough, I think better priced parts may eventually come up for sale from VW on their classic parts store - https://www.volkswagen-classic-parts.de/. They've started selling off 25th Anni stuff recently - I'm waiting for the mk5 stuff to be listed!

If they did start selling the Edition 30 seats at a reasonable figure they'd sell a shed load I reckon:-)
