Title: hpfp removal ?

im sure it was posted up somewhere but i cant find it .


does anyone know if you need tdc ?

According to the proper manual then yes but if you are careful then no.

If you have a manual car then its not too difficult to set so for piece of mind its probably worth it.

yeh i know about the door priming the pump , vw have been doing this on cars for some time now , the misses lupo gti cought her brother out once lol . decided to do some more things which involved having the rims off so i will defo do tdc now , and having 2 peice cambelt covers will make it alot easier . oh and my tdc vernier tool too :)

You don't need to take the cambelt cover off just get a bit of slack and use a dental mirror.  :smiley:

When working on FSI fuel systems, you should really be pulling the relay, of disconnecting the battery.
