Hey chaps :pomppomp:
Whilst i know the recommended intervals for a DSG Oil/Filter change is 40k i want to do mine every 10k. Overkill??? Maybe, but my car is in such great shape i want to preserve it as its a keeper. I did the last change at 128k, just after purchasing and used the Meyle DSG Oil and filter kit, with the supplied sump plug & O ring. Seems to be fine, and smooth as silk changes. I am at 137k now, hence looking to change again in the spring. Has anyone used any other manufactures oil, or is it best to stick with VAG oil, or use the Meyle kit again?

Hey Louie,
I would stick to either one of those. If the Meyle one is doing the job great it's certainly doing what its supposed to :happy2:
Every 10k isn't fully overkill if you ask me, Engine oil is changed every 10k so whats the harm in the DSG box too

Cheers bro
I managed to get 6 x 1lt bottles of VAG DCT oil for £65 on eBay so well happy as I’ve already got the filter
Yep DSG every 10k and engine every 5k and I’ll keep up the VW service history as the car has a FVWSH

I do not think each 10k is overkill, but I am good with sticking to every 40k miles. I have another coming up at 160k miles, 6k miles from now. I have a K04 upgrade with GIAC K04 H.O. & DSG tunes. 350 HP and 363 lb*ft, and never had any DSG issues to date...and I have done a good number of 1/4 mile pulls, plus the road miles.

That’s good to know!!
Similar tune to mine too
