Title: Fitting number plate to front bumper

I've ordered some pressed plates for the GTI but realised that the current front plate is bent to fit directly onto my front bumper without a kind of flat mount.

I presume I'll need to buy one of these mounts (I presume they come as standard and a previous owner has gotten rid of it) if I want to mount a pressed metal plate to the front?
