Title: Clutch dropped - leaking hydraulic fluid
Post by: Brad_ED30 on March 16, 2020, 06:53:38 pm
Evening,

Cars broke down tonight with the clutch dropping to the floor and leaking hydraulic fluid.

I have the aks tuning braided line fitted which was installed along with the helix clutch kit a couple of years ago.

I’ve found this fitting disconnected and I’m wondering if it’s a simple fix of bleeding the slave cylinder?

https://www.akstuning.co.uk/aks/255-aks-braided-clutch-line.html

Currently in the recovery truck on the way to a garage so can’t post photos but the link above for aks tuning shows the fitting in the second image as a silver push fitting.

Any help would be appreciated.

Brad

if its un-done itself I would be looking into the cause - hopefully its just a simple fix

Clutch bleeding can be a PITA - best to back bleed from bottom so you are not fighting air - or give the headache to the garage

UPDATE:

Its the bleeder valve that has popped off whilst remaining connected to the braided clutch line..
